• Your project data is stored locally in your browser — we never receive or store it.
• We do not require an account, and we do not sell your personal information.
• We use a privacy-friendly, cookie-less analytics service to understand overall usage.
• We only receive personal details if you choose to contact us.

All inputs, calculations, projects, cable schedules, project details and any company logo you upload are saved in your web browser’s local storage on your device. This data is not transmitted to us and is not accessible to us. It remains under your control: clearing your browser data, or using a different device or browser, will remove it. You are responsible for saving and backing up your work (for example, using the Save Project feature to download an .ecs file).

If you use the Contact form, it opens a message in your own email application addressed to us. If you choose to send it, we receive the information you include — typically your email address, your message, and your name if you provide it (name is optional). We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not use it for marketing.

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate usage of the Tool, such as which pages are visited and general visitor counts. This service is privacy-focused: it does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not build advertising profiles. It collects high-level, anonymised information such as the page visited, referring site, approximate country, and device or browser type. It does not store data that personally identifies you.

The Tool is hosted on Vercel. As with virtually all websites, Vercel’s infrastructure may automatically process limited technical information (such as IP address and request metadata) transiently for the purposes of delivering the site, security, and preventing abuse. This processing is carried out by our hosting provider as part of normal web operation.

ECAS does not use tracking or advertising cookies. The Tool stores your work using browser local storage (not cookies), and our analytics provider operates without cookies. Essential technical mechanisms may be used by the hosting platform purely to deliver the site.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We do not share it with third parties except for the service providers that operate the Tool on our behalf (our hosting and analytics providers described above), or where required by law. Any email you send us is handled through standard email services.

Because your project data never leaves your device, its retention is entirely under your control. Aggregated analytics data is retained by our analytics provider in accordance with their standard retention periods. Email enquiries are retained only as long as needed to respond to and manage your request.

The Tool is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. While we take reasonable measures to protect information, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for safeguarding any project files you download to your own device.

You can delete the data stored locally by the Tool at any time by clearing your browser’s site data. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of personal information we hold (which is limited to any correspondence you send us). The Tool is a professional engineering utility intended for use by adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

ECAS is operated from Australia. If you access the Tool from outside Australia, any limited information processed (such as an email you send us, or analytics handled by our providers) may be processed in Australia or in other countries where our service providers operate.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated date below. Your continued use of the Tool after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
